I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, understood and supported.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, I've supported adolescents and adults through anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions and emotional overwhelm across both public mental health and private practice.
My approach is warm, genuine and collaborative. I take the time to understand your unique experiences, creating a safe and compassionate space where we can work together to help you reconnect with yourself and move forward with confidence.
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process distressing memories and reduce the emotional impact of traumatic experiences. It can also be helpful for anxiety, grief and other experiences that continue to affect everyday life.
ACT helps you develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, while focusing on what matters most to you. Rather than struggling against uncomfortable feelings, ACT supports you to move towards a meaningful and fulfilling life.
CBT explores the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Together we'll identify unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies to build confidence and improve emotional wellbeing.
DBT-informed strategies can help strengthen emotional regulation, manage distress, improve relationships and build mindfulness skills to navigate life's challenges more effectively.
Being trauma-informed means recognising how past experiences can shape the way we think, feel and respond today. Therapy is always guided by safety, trust, collaboration and working at a pace that feels right for you.

"Swells of Life Therapy" logo draws symbolism from the metaphor of the ocean's swells to represent the highs and lows of life. Individualised therapy focuses on supporting you to navigate the ebbs and flows of life effectively, developing skills to manage these challenges.
The use of dolphins as a symbol in this context represents qualities such as calmness, compassion, and being present. Dolphins are often associated with these traits due to their graceful and gentle nature, as well as their ability to navigate the waters with agility and awareness. Integrating the symbolism of dolphins signifies a focus on cultivating these qualities within oneself to better cope with life's ups and downs.
In summary Tammy Schwarzl - Swells of Life Therapy aims to align with all of the aspects of the logo and is centered around supporting individuals to develop tools to navigate through both the calm and turbulent times with resilience and empowerment.
